Streszczenie
Akropachia jest charakterystycznym procesem rozrostowym okostnej kości kończyn piersiowych i miednicznych. Typowy dla tych zmian jest „koronkowy” odczyn tkanki kostnej. Klinicznie choroba charakteryzuje się obrzękami dystalnych części kończyn oraz kulawiznami o różnym stopniu nasilenia. Właściciele pojawiają się u lekarzy weterynarii z powodu utrudnionego poruszania i widocznych obrzęków kończyn zwierzęcia.

Abstract
Acropachy is a characteristic growth process of the long bones periosteum in thoracic and pelvic limbs. The lacy periosteum reaction is typical of these changes. Clinical symptoms include swelling of distal parts of limbs and lameness of varying severity. Owners visit veterinary surgeons due to difficulties of movement and visible edema of the limbs.
