Streszczenie
Celem niniejszego artykułu było przybliżenie istoty bartonelozy kotów, jej epidemiologii, metod jej rozpoznawania i leczenia. Bartoneloza jest chorobą wywoływaną przez bakterie Bartonella spp. należące do rzędu Rickettsiales.. Drobnoustroje przenoszone są głównie przez pchły oraz kleszcze. U kotów choroba objawia się są gorączka, powiększeniem węzłów chłonnych. Wystąpić mogą także zaburzenia w rozrodzie oraz rozwinąć może się zapalenie serca, infekcje dróg oddechowych, zapalenie dziąseł, zapalenie nosa oraz zapalenie stawów. Lekarze weterynarii powinni być świadomi tego, że bartoneloza może być zoonozą.

Abstract
The aim of the paper is to
present the nature of the feline bartonellosis, its epidemiology,
diagnosis and therapy Bartonellosis is a disease caused by Bartonella
spp. which belong to the orderRickettsiales. Bacteria is transmitted
by the cat flea or ticks. In catsinfected with Bartonella such
symptoms, as fever, limphaedema, reproduction disorders, myocarditis,
rhinotracheitis, gingivitis, arthritis, may be observed.
The veterinarians should be aware, thak bartonellois is a zoonosis.
