Jednym z istotnych czynników zachorowalności i śmiertelności psów poniżej 1. roku życia są wady wrodzone serca. Wczesne rozpoznanie wad serca jest istotne z punktu widzenia dalszego postępowania z pacjentem, ponieważ umożliwia dobór odpowiedniego postępowania farmakologicznego lub chirurgicznego, które w niektórych sytuacjach mogą wpłynąć na poprawę rokowania pacjenta oraz czas jego przeżycia. Anomalia Ebsteina jest rzadką wrodzoną wadą serca będącą odmianą dysplazji zastawki trójdzielnej.

Abstract
One of the important causes of morbidity and mortality in dogs under 1 year of age are congenital heart defects. Early diagnosis is important for the further management of the patient, as it enables the selection of an appropriate pharmacological treatment or surgical intervention, which in some situations may improve the patient’s prognosis and outcome. Ebstein’s anomaly is a rare congenital heart defect which is a variant of tricuspid valve dysplasia.
