A bone marrow examination is a valuable additional test performed in cases where the examination of blood morphology and other tests are not sufficient to explain hematological abnormalities. In the article, the authors discuss indications for bone marrow evaluation and, aspiration techniques and the rules of basic assessment of canine and feline bone marrow.
