Streszczenie
Badanie elektrokardiograficzne jest standardowym i niezbędnym narzędziem weterynaryjnej diagnostyki kardiologicznej. Najczęstszymi wskazaniami do długotrwałego zapisu EKG (EKG metodą Holtera) są: diagnoza arytmii serca (czy arytmia zagraża życiu), minimalne, maksymalne i średnie tętno, badanie psów podejrzanych o kardiomiopatię rozstrzeniową. Rzadziej w medycynie weterynaryjnej dokonywane są bardziej szczegółowe analizy danych, takie jak ocena zmienności rytmu pracy serca i turbulencji rytmu pracy serca.

Abstract
Electrocardiographic examination is a standard and essential tool in the course of veterinary cardiological diagnostics. The most common indication for the use of the long-term ECG (Holter ECG) is diagnosis of cardiac arrhythmias (is arrhythmia life-threatening), minimum, maximum and average heart rate, and examination of dogs suspected of dilated cardiomyopathy. Rarely more specific data analyses are performed in veterinary medicine, including assessment of heart rate variability and heart rate turbulence.
