Badanie terenowe nad zastosowaniem diety 4T Veterinary Diet Dermatosis Dog jako diety eliminacyjnej u psów z alergią pokarmową

Streszczenie

Rozpoznanie alergii pokarmowej powinno się stawiać po przeprowadzeniu diety eliminacyjnej. Dieta taka musi zawierać źródło białka, którym zwierzę nie było wcześniej żywione. Celem badania była ocena skuteczności diety zawierającej łososia jako jedyne źródło białka w diagnostyce i leczeniu psów z AP. Zmiany skórne oceniano wg systemu CADESI. Średnia CADESI u psów w dniu rozpoczęcia badania wynosiła 83, natomiast w ostatnim dniu badania (56. dzień) wynosiła 49,0. Wiązało się to z ustępowaniem objawów klinicznych w postaci rumienia, przeczosów i wyłysień.

Abstract

The diagnosis of food allergy should be established considering the results of the elimination diet, containing a source of protein which has not been earlier fed to the animal, The aim of the research was to evaluate the efficacy of the diet containing salmon as the only protein source in the diagnostic process and treatment of dogs with food allergy. The severity of skin symptoms was evaluated using the CADESI scale. At the beginning of the trial, dogs had averagely 83 CADESI points while at the end of the trial (day 56th) they had averagely 49 points, with the severity of skin symptoms (erythema, excoriations, alopecia) reduced.
