Streszczenie
Bakteryjne choroby dróg oddechowych u psów i kotów są istotnym problemem w praktyce lekarsko-weterynaryjnej, w wielu przypadkach trudnym do rozwikłania, patogenezy, terapii i swoistej profilaktyki. W tym artykule, pierwszym z cyklu poświęconego infekcjom bakteryjnym dróg oddechowych u psów i kotów, przedstawiono przegląd najczęściej izolowanych drobnoustrojów od zwierząt z problemami oddechowymi. Ponieważ tego typu pacjenci stanowią istotną grupę klientów klinik i gabinetów weterynaryjnych, znajomość czynników etiologicznych takich chorób jest niezwykle istotna i rzutuje na właściwe ich leczenie.

Abstract
Bacterial infections of the respiratory tract in dogs and cats, with their difficult etiology, pathogenesis, treatment and prevention, constitute a significant problem in veterinary practice. The paper initiates a series of articles discussing that kind of infections in dogs and cats. Presented here are microorganisms isolated from animals with respiratory problems, a common group of patients in veterinary clinics. A proper knowledge of etiological factors in such diseases is essential for effective treatment.
