Lęk separacyjny psów stanowi poważny problem. Wielu właścicieli odbiera zespół zachowań występujący przy tym zaburzeniu jako niepożądany, lecz nie potrafi pomóc swojemu zwierzęciu. Istnieje wiele metod, które działają pozytywnie na psy z tymi problemami, lecz warto pamiętać, że istota lęku tkwi najczęściej w okresie szczenięctwa. Nauka samodzielności jest w tym przypadku niezbędna.

Abstract
Separation anxiety disorder is a serious problem in dogs. Many owners perceive the behavior of the dog as undesirable, but they are not able to help their pet. There are many kinds of methods which have positive influence on dogs with these problems, but we need to remember that the nature of fear is most likely to develop during the puppyhood. The essential thing in this case is independence training.
