Streszczenie
Cysty duplikacyjne jelita (EDCs) są rzadko występującym zaburzeniem wrodzonym opisywanym głównie w medycynie ludzkiej, bardzo rzadko w medycynie weterynaryjnej. Prawie połowa wspomnianych w literaturze cyst dotyczy jelita cienkiego oraz jest diagnozowana jeszcze w okresie niemowlęcym.
Abstract
Enteric duplication cysts (EDCs), a rare congenital disorder, is described mainly in human, but very rarely in veterinary medicine. Almost half of the cysts mentioned in the literature, concern the small intestine and are diagnosed in infancy. EDCs are defined as cystic or tubular structures with a well-developed wall, composed of a muscle layer and lined with the mucosa. The etiopathogenesis of enteric duplication cysts is not well known.
