Streszczenie
Osteodystrofia hypertroficzna (ODH) (ang. Hypertrophic osteodysthrophy (HOD) methaphyseal osteopathy (MO)) to schorzenie dotyczące młodych, szybko rosnących szczeniąt ras średnich i olbrzymich, dotykające boksery, dogi niemieckie, wyżły weimarskie, bernardyny, setery irlandzkie, border collie, zaś rzadko notowane wśród ras małych, występujące również u kotów. Istnieją doniesienia o występowaniu HOD u około czterdziestu ras psów, jednak dogi niemieckie to rasa, u której schorzenie występuje najczęściej. Około 2-3 razy częściej chorują psy niż suki.

Abstract
HOD is a disease of young, fast growing medium and giant breed puppies, with Boxers, Great Danes, Weimaraner, Saint Bernards, Irish Setters, Border Collies mostly affected. The disease is rarely seen in small breed dogs and cats. HOD is diagnosed in 40 breeds but the most commonly affected breed is Great Dane. Males are 2 or 3 times more exposed than females.
