Streszczenie
Jednym z częściej występujących problemów dotyczących kocich pacjentów w średnim i starszym wieku jest nadczynność tarczycy. Endokrynopatia bardzo dobrze poznana i często diagnozowana w gabinetach lekarsko-weterynaryjnych, dotycząca około 10% kotów powyżej 10. roku życia. Jedną z metod jej leczenia jest zabieg chirurgicznego usunięcia jednego lub obu płatów tarczycy – tyreidektomia.

Abstract
One of the most common problems affecting middle-aged and elderly feline patients is hyperthyroidism. Endocrinopathy very well known and often diagnosed in veterinarians’ offices, affecting approximately 10% of cats over 10 years of age. One of its treatment methods is surgical removal of one or both lobes of the thyroid gland – thyroidectomy.
