Streszczenie
Zwyrodnienie śluzowate zastawki dwudzielnej (MMVD, ang. myxomatous mitral valve disease) jest najczęstszą nabytą chorobą serca u psów, z prewalencją sięgającą ponad 90% u psów powyżej 13. roku życia. Zmiany zwyrodnieniowe płatków zastawki prowadzą do nieprawidłowej ich koaptacji, a co za tym idzie, niedomykalności mitralnej, na której tle może dojść do rozwoju lewokomorowej niewydolności serca. Artykuł ten jest ostatnim z serii i traktuje o leczeniu zaawansowanego, opornego na standardowe leczenie stadium D choroby zwyrodnieniowej zastawki mitralnej.

Abstract
Myxomatous mitral valve disease (MMVD) is the most common acquired heart disease in dogs, with a prevalence of over 90% in dogs older than 13 years. Degenerative lesions of mitral valve leaflets lead to abnormal coaptation of the valve, mitral regurgitation, which in severe cases leads to left-sided heart failure. This article is the last in the series and discusses the treatment of advanced, refractory to standard treatment stage D of degenerative mitral valve disease.
