Streszczenie
Dermatofitoza jest to zakażenie tkanek skeratynizowanych, np. warstwy zrogowaciałej naskórka, pazurów czy sierści. Choroba wywołana jest przez dermatofity – keratynolityczne i keratynofilne grzyby należące do trzech głównych gatunków: Trichophyton, Microsporum i Epidermophyton. Dermatofitoza jest antropozoonozą. Choroba objawia się wieloma różnymi zmianami klinicznymi i diagnoza może okazać się trudna. Co więcej, leczenie nastręcza często wielu problemów, jest zwykle wieloczynnikowe i długotrwałe.

Abstract
Dermatophytosis is a superficial infection of keratinized tissues i.e. the horny layer of skin, nails and hair, caused by dermatophytes, keratinolytic and keratinophilic fungi belonging to the three main genres, Trichophyton, Microsporum and Epidermophyton. Dermatophytosis, an anthropozoonotic disease, is characterized by different clinical signs, so diagnosis can be difficult, and the treatment can be complex and long-lasting.
