Streszczenie
Roponercze jest stosunkowo rzadko spotykaną chorobą u psów, najczęściej u zwierząt starszych. Stan ten jest powikłaniem wodonercza, w którym nagromadzony w miedniczce nerkowej mocz przybiera postać treści ropnej w następstwie zakażenia. Trafna oraz wczesna diagnoza roponercza jest bardzo istotna z uwagi na ryzyko pęknięcia zmienionej nerki i/lub uogólnienie zakażenia, a nawet śmierci pacjenta. Roponercze stopniowo doprowadza do upośledzenia funkcji nerki, a także do całkowitego lub prawie całkowitego zniszczenia struktury narządu. W niniejszym opracowaniu przedstawiono opis przypadku rozpoznania i leczenia roponercza u młodej suki.

Abstract
Pyonephrosis, a relatively rare disease, usually affects older dogs. It is a serious complication of hydronephrosis when exudate accumulation in a dilated renal pelvis has been infected. An early diagnosis is crucial due to the risk of kidney rupture and/or systemic infection. Pyonephrosis gradually leads to the loss of kidney functions and total or almost complete renal destruction. The paper describes the diagnosis and treatment of pyonephrosis in a young bitch.
