Streszczenie
Elastografia (USE, elastosonografia) jest zaawansowaną metodą obrazowania ultrasonograficznego, opartą na wykorzystaniu efektu elektronicznej palpacji chorobowo zmienionych tkanek. Badanie opiera się na zasadzie, że tkanki chorobowo zmienione posiadają inną elastyczność i sprężystość oraz ulegają innemu odkształceniu niż tkanki zdrowe.

Abstract
Elastography is an advanced method of usg imaging which is based on the electronic palpation of pathologic tissues. It is based on the presumption that pathologically changed tissues have different elasticity and change their shape unlike the healthy tissue.
