Streszczenie
Idiopatyczne/śródmiąższowe zapalenie pęcherza moczowego kotów (FIC) zalicza się do grupy tzw. chorób dolnych dróg moczowych kotów – FLUTD. Choroba ma najczęściej przebieg ostry, trwa średnio 5-7 dni, po czym objawy ustępują samoistnie, ale często obserwuje się nawrót choroby nawet po latach. Objawy FIC nie są typowe; są nimi: dysuria, stranguria, periuria, pollakiuria, hematuria oraz bolesność dolnych dróg moczowych podczas badania. W diagnostyce różnicowej FIC należy uwzględnić: kamicę moczową, zaburzenia behawioralne, infekcje bakteryjne i nowotwory.

Abstract
Feline idiopathic/interstitial cystitis (FIC) is one of the feline lower urinary tract diseases (FLUTD). The disease is usually acute, lasts 5-7 days and then goes into a spontaneous remission, although episodes of recurrence are observed, sometimes after a few years. FIC symptoms are not typical: dysuria, stranguria, periuria, pollakiuria, hematuria or pain in the lower urinary tract during examination. Differential diagnosis involves urolithiasis, behavioral changes, bacterial infections and neoplasms.
