Streszczenie
O kondycję skóry oraz okrywy włosowej psów i kotów trzeba dbać przede wszystkim „od wewnątrz”, zapewniając zwierzęciu prawidłowo zbilansowaną dietę oraz czuwając nad ogólnym stanem zdrowia pacjenta. Warto jednak pamiętać, że nieprawidłowo prowadzone działania pielęgnacyjne mogą również mieć znaczący wpływ na wygląd skóry i sierści zwierzęcia.

Abstract
The general condition of dog’s or cat’s skin and coat are good indicators of their health and should be taken care of predominately from the „inside”, by feeding high quality, well balanced diet and controlling general health of the animal. But it should be remembered that unskilful or too frequent grooming/bathing may deteriorate the skin and hair coat quality to a great extent.
