Dysplazja zastawki mitralnej jest jedną z najczęstszych wad wrodzonych serca występujących u kotów. Rozpoznanie opiera się głównie na objawach klinicznych i badaniu echokardiograficznym serca. Nie istnieje możliwość leczenia przyczynowego, a rokowanie zależy od stopnia zaawansowania wady. Artykuł opisuje przypadek dysplazji zastawki mitralnej u kota rasy devon rex.

Abstract
Mitral valve dysplasia is one of the most common congenital heart diseases in cats. The diagnosis is mostly based on clinical signs and an echocardiography examination. There is no etiologic treatment and the prognosis depends on the defect severity. The article describes a case of mitral valve dysplasia diagnosed in a devon rex cat.
