Promieniowce są to Gram-dodatnie oportunistyczne bakterie, które mogą być przyczyną ropnoziarniniakowych zapaleń, charakteryzujących się tworzeniem ziarniniaków oraz ropni. Klasyczna promienica jest chorobą bydła, może ona również występować u innych gatunków zwierząt oraz ludzi. Promienica małych zwierząt jest stosunkowo rzadką chorobą, wymagającą celowanej antybiotykoterapii i monitoringu pacjenta.
Abstract
Actinomyces are opportunistic, Gram-positive bacteria that can cause pyogranulomatous inflammation characterized by the presence of multiple pyogranulomas or abscesses. Classic, actinomycosis,a cattle disease, also occurs in other animal species and in humans. Actinomycosis in small animals is a relatively rare disease requiring specific antibiotic treatment and patient monitoring.
