Streszczenie
Ektopasożyty mogą być przyczyną zaburzeń dermatologicznych u psów i kotów, jak i mogą przenosić choroby będące w wielu przypadkach zoonozami. Stosowane są różne metody zapobiegania inwazjom ektopasożytów u małych zwierząt. W niniejszym artykule omówiono obecną sytuację kontrolowania inwazji ektopasożytów. Przedstawiono także informacje odnośnie immunoprofilaktyki wybranych chorób wektorowych u psów.

Abstract
Ectoparasites cause skin problems in dogs and cats and transmit diseases (also zoonoses). To prevent ectoparasite infection in small animals various methods have been used. This article reviews the present situation regarding ectoparasite control. Also supplied is information about immunoprophylaxis of selected canine vector-borne diseases.
