Streszczenie
„Triage” to procedura służąca szybkiej klasyfikacji pacjentów w stanie krytycznym. Ma na celu ustalenie kolejności przyjęcia w oparciu o skrócone badanie kliniczne i zidentyfikowanie problemów najbardziej zagrażających życiu. Wstępna ocena zwierzęcia nie wymaga użycia specjalistycznego sprzętu i może być wykonana w każdej lecznicy weterynaryjnej. Przypisanie do konkretnej grupy ryzyka ma na celu zwiększenie przeżywalności u pacjentów w stanach krytycznych.

Abstract
„Triage” is a procedure aimed at a prompt classification of patients in critical condition. It consists in establishing the order of admission based on brief clinical examination, as well as in identifying the most life-threatening problems. The preliminary assesment of the animal does not require any specific equipment and can be performed in any veterinary clinic. The aim of assigning a particular risk group is to increase the survival rate in patients in critical condition.
