Streszczenie
Hipoadrenokortycyzm, zwany inaczej chorobą Addisona, to rzadko diagnozowana choroba endokrynologiczna u psów. Objawy kliniczne wynikają z braku produkcji odpowiedniej ilości mineralokortykoidów i/lub glikokortykoidów. Najtrudniejszym etapem dla lekarza jest postawienie prawidłowego rozpoznania, gdyż choroba ma wiele mało charakterystycznych objawów. Hipoadrenokortycyzm jest nieuleczalny, jednak prawidłowe leczenie i monitorowanie pacjenta całkowicie organiczają objawy kliniczne i dają dobrą jakość życia.

Abstract
Hipoadrenocorticism or Addisons disease is a rarely diagnosed endocrine disease in dogs. Clinical signs are a consequence of lack of production of mineralocorticosteroids and/or glicocorticosteroids. The most difficult part for veterinarians is making a diagnosis because the disease has a lot of uncharacteristic clinical signs. Hipoadrenocorticism is a incurable disease but proper treatment totally limits clinical signs and gives a good quality of life.
