Streszczenie
Badanie ultrasonograficzne jest użytecznym, nieinwazyjnym i wiarygodnym badaniem stosowanym w diagnostyce chorób małych ssaków. Jest to metoda szczególnie przydatna w przypadku zwierząt takich jak gryzonie, u których, ze względu na niewielkie rozmiary ciała, możliwości wykonania badań dodatkowych są ograniczone. Artykuł opisuje zastosowania badania ultrasonograficznego w diagnostyce wątroby królików i gryzoni. Przedstawia też najczęściej występujące schorzenia wątroby, z którymi można się spotkać w codziennej praktyce weterynaryjnej u tych gatunków zwierząt.

Abstract
Ultrasound examination is a very useful, non-invasive and reliable diagnostic tool in small mammals and especially in very small animals like rodents, in which additional tests are difficult to conduct. The paper describes practical applications of ultrasound examination in liver diseases of rabbits and rodents. The most common liver diseases of rodents and rabbits are also discussed.
