A problem of the excessive lacrimation and the tear stain syndrome
Streszczenie
W artykule omówiono najczęstsze przyczyny nadmiernego łzawienia oraz problem przebarwień włosów psów ras, u których stanowi to szczególnie częsty oraz (z racji barwy sierści) wyjątkowo widoczny problem (m.in. teriery maltańskie, pudle wszystkich odmian, bichon frise). Zaprezentowano także wyniki badania przeprowadzonego na grupie trzydziestu psów oraz oceniono najczęściej stosowane terapie i zaproponowano model postępowania w przypadku zespołu plam łzowych u psów.

Abstract
The article presents the most common reasons for excessive lacrimation and subsequent hair discolouration in susceptible canine breeds, such as Maltese Terriers, Poodles and Bichon Frise. The results of the test, which was conducted on thirty dogs were helpful in recommending therapies and suggesting the treatment model in the case of the tear stain syndrome.
