Jednym z najczęściej występujących nowotworów lusterka nosowego u kotów jest rak płaskonabłonkowy. Jego występowanie jest ściśle powiązane z ekspozycją na promieniowanie słoneczne. Jak w przypadku większości chorób nowotworowych, rokowanie zależy od zaawansowania choroby w chwili postawienia diagnozy. Artykuł zawiera informacje na temat występowania, diagnostyki oraz leczenia kotów z rakiem płaskonabłonkowym lusterka nosowego.

Abstract
One of the most common types of nasal planum cancer among cats is squamous cell carcinoma. The occurence of this particular disease in cats is strongly associated with the exposure of a particular cat to sunlight. Prognosis for a particular cat often depends on the stage of the disease at the time of diagnosis – as it is true for the majority of oncological diseases. The following article contains information concerning the occurence, diagnostics and treatment methods for cats with squamous cell carcinoma of the nasal planum.
