Streszczenie
Dowody kliniczne wskazują na istnienie osi sercowo-nerkowej zarówno u ludzi, jak i u zwierząt. Zależności anatomiczne i fizjologiczne sprawiają, że podczas pierwotnej choroby jednego z narządów, drugi ulega włączeniu w proces chorobowy. Powstające zależności w przebiegu stanów patologicznych serca i nerek nazwano u psów i kotów „zaburzeniami osi sercowo-naczyniowo-nerkowej” (CvRD). Artykuł przedstawia definicję i klasyfikację tych zaburzeń. Omawia także patofizjologię ich występowania w zależności od dominacji chorób serca lub nerek.
