Artykuł prezentuje narzędzia diagnostyczne, służące do oceny kondycji psów i kotów z nadwagą oraz osobników otyłych. Krótko scharakteryzowane są metody TBW, BIA oraz DEXA, a także przedstawiono: karty indeksu masy ciała, tkanki tłuszczowej i sposób wykonania pomiarów morfometrycznych.
