Streszczenie
Artykuł przedstawia przegląd informacji poświęconych inwazji przywr z gatunku Troglotrema acutum. Typowym żywicielem tego pasożyta jest tchórz europejski (Mustela putorius). Wśród potencjalnych żywicieli przypadkowych T. acutum są liczne gatunki ssaków mięsożernych, włącznie z domowymi psami, kotami czy fretkami. Jak dotąd nie potwierdzono jednak przypadków naturalnych zarażeń wśród tych zwierząt. Dorosłe postaci pasożyta lokalizują się w jamie nosowej, a zwłaszcza na błonie śluzowej lub w cystach pod błoną śluzową zatok przynosowych. Zarażenie prowadzi do lokalnych procesów osteolizy, kończących się perforacjami kości trzewioczaszki.

Abstract
The paper reviews literature on invasion caused by trematode, Troglotrema acutum The typical host of this trematode species is European polecat (Mustela putorius), but other carnivore including ferrets, cats and dogs are potential accidental hosts, although no cases of natural invasions in domestic animals were reported. The adult forms of the parasite attach to the nasal fossae mucosa or lie in the cyst beneath the sinus mucosa of the paranasal sinuses The invasion induces local osteomyelitis and perforation of the viscerocranium bones.
