Streszczenie
Mesocestoides spp. jest tasiemcem zwierząt mięsożernych. Formy larwalne tego pasożyta (cysticercoid, tetrathyridium) migrują do jam ciała lub pod błony surowicze. Diagnostyka histologiczna jest jedną z metod pozwalającą rozpoznać larwy tego pasożyta. Widoczne charakterystyczne gruczoły wapienne, tegument oraz skoleks z przyssawką mogą potwierdzić, że dokonano ostatecznego rozpoznania otrzewnowej larwy tasiemca (tetrathyridium).

Abstract
Mesocestoides spp. is a tapeworm infesting carnivores. The larval forms of the parasite (cysticercoid, tetrathyridium) migrate to body cavities or under serous membranes. Histological examination is one of the methods which help identify the larval forms of Mesocestoides. Characteristic calcareous corpuscles, tegument or scolex with a sucker found during the examination allow for a definitive identification of a peritoneal larval form of the tapeworm (tetrathyridium).
