Badanie parazytologiczne kału jest ważną częścią diagnostyki medycznej i weterynaryjnej. Umożliwia ono wykrycie pasożytów jelitowych i pasożytów układu oddechowego. Mikroskopowe metody badania takie jak: rozmaz, flotacja, sedymentacja wymagają doświadczenia i zaangażowania specjalisty z zakresu parazytologii. Automatyczne analizatory badania kału wykazują porównywalną do klasycznych metod manualnych czułość i specyficzność wyników badania, dając perspektywy ujednolicenia wyników i eliminacji błędu ludzkiego.

Abstract
Fecal parasitological examination is an important part of medical and veterinary diagnostics. It enables the detection of intestinal and respiratory parasites. Microscopic examination methods, such as smear, flotation, sedimentation, require experience and should be performed by a parasitologist. Automatic stool analysis analyzers show sensitivity and specificity of test results comparable to those obtained using classic manual methods, offering prospects of standardizing the results and eliminating human error.
