Streszczenie
Hodowla egzotycznych jaszczurek stanowi alternatywę dla ludzi chcących mieć w domu zwierzę, ale niedysponujących dużą ilością wolnego czasu. W obecnych czasach nie ma problemu z nabyciem zdrowego zwierzęcia z renomowanej hodowli lub sklepu zoologicznego. Jednak kupując na giełdach i od pokątnych handlarzy, narażamy się na kupno osobnika zarażonego w początkowej fazie inwazji i niewykazującego objawów klinicznych. Do zarażeń dochodzi najczęściej przy kontakcie bezpośrednim zarażonych zwierząt ze zdrowymi lub przy używaniu źle odkażonych sprzętów pochodzących z zarażonych terrariów.

Abstract
Breeding exotic animals can be an alternative for people who want to have an animal but do not have much time. Nowadays one can easily buy a healthy animal from a professional breeder or a pet store. However, buying from unknown source may be risky, as the animal can be infected with parasites, without any symptoms in the initial phase. The infection is transmitted from one animal to another or by using improperly sterilised equipment from infected terrarias.
