Streszczenie
Pastereloza królików przebiega w postaci ostrej i przewlekłej. Wśród głównych objawów obserwuje się kichanie i wypływ z nosa. Natomiast w przewlekłej postaci najczęściej obserwujemy odoskrzelowe zapalenie płuc i ropnie płuc, które po latach powolnego rozwoju objawów klinicznych doprowadzają do śmierci zwierzęcia. Rokowanie w początkowym okresie choroby jest korzystne (antybiotyki o szerokim spektrum), natomiast w pozostałych przypadkach – bardzo ostrożne. W poniższym artykule został szczegółowo opisany przypadek ropnia płuc u królika zakażonego Pasteurella multocida.

Abstract
Rabbits pasteurellosis is an acute or chronic disease. Sneezing and nasal discharge are the main clinical symptoms. Bronchopneumonia and pulmonary abscesses slowly developing for years and resulting in animal’s death constitute the chronic form of the disease. When using broad spectrum antibiotics the prognosis in the initial period of the disease is good in other cases the prognosis is guarded. The paper describes a case of lung abscess in a rabbit with Pasteurella multocida infection.
