Streszczenie
Współczesne leczenie onkologicznych pacjentów weterynaryjnych coraz częściej opiera się na leczeniu skojarzonym polegającym na łączeniu technik operacyjnych i dodatkowym postępowaniem przeciwnowotworowym. Elektrochemioterapia (ECT) umożliwia miejscowe leczenie guza za pomocą cytostatyku, którego koncentrację wewnątrzkomórkową zwiększa się za pomocą elektroporacji. ECT powoduje aktywację układu odpornościowego, upośledzenie krążenia w obrębie guza oraz charakteryzuje się wysoką cytotoksycznością bez względu na typ histologiczny nowotworu.

Abstract
The modern treatment of veterinary oncologic patients often relies on polytherapy which combines standard surgical excision with additional treatment modality. Electrochemotherapy (ECT) is the local cancer treatment in which the delivery of chemotherapeutic drugs is enhanced by electroporation. ECT results in host immunomodulation, tumor vascular disruption and high local cytotoxicity regardless of tumor type.
