Streszczenie
Kamienie szczawianowo-wapniowe należą obecnie do najczęściej występujących typów kamieni moczowych u psów i kotów. Częstość ich występowania w ostatnich latach wciąż rośnie. Monitorowanie ilości prekursorów kryształów w diecie, jak również pH moczu, jest ważne w postępowaniu klinicznym w przypadku wszystkich kamieni moczowych, chociaż nie jest jasno określone dla szczawianów wapnia. Nie opracowano strategii skutecznego ich rozpuszczania, dlatego celem postępowania terapeutycznego winno być przede wszystkim zmniejszenie ryzyka nawrotu.

Abstract
Calcium oxalate uroliths are currently the most common types of urinary tract stones in dogs and cats. Their frequency in recent years is still growing. Monitoring the amounts of crystal precursors in the diet as well as urine pH is important in the clinical management of all urinary stones, although is not clearly defined for calcium oxalate. No strategy for their effective dissolution has been developed, therefore the aim of therapeutic management should be primarily the risk of recurrence.
