Streszczenie
Problemy otologiczne u zwierząt towarzyszących są częstymi przyczynami wizyt właścicieli w gabinetach weterynaryjnych. Objawy choroby są różne w zależności od tego, której części ucha dotyczy proces chorobowy. Opiekunowie zgłaszają się zwykle z powodu świądu i bolesności okolicy ucha u swojego pupila. Czasami jednak objawy są niewidoczne i właściciel dowiaduje się o chorobie dopiero podczas wizyty. Ok. 20% przypadków stanowią pacjenci z zapaleniem ucha zewnętrznego. Leczenie trwa zazwyczaj kilka tygodni.

Abstract
Ear disease in domestic animals is a common reason for seeking the veterinarian advice. Symptoms are different depending on the ear part which is affected. Itching and ear pain are common reason for bringing the dog to the clinic. Sometimes the dog is asymptomatic and the owner learns about a disease during the routine check up. About 20% of cases are patients with otitis externa whose treatment usually takes a few weeks.
