Streszczenie
Zapalenie trzustki występuje w kilku postaciach klinicznych: ostrej, przewlekłej oraz jako epizod zaostrzenia przewlekłego zapalenia trzustki. Wśród potencjalnych przyczyn zapalenia trzustki u kotów można wymienić: choroby infekcyjne, ingerencję chirurgiczną, nowotwory trzustki, podłoże immunologiczne. Diagnostyka zaburzenia opiera się na wykonaniu badań dodatkowych. Terapia obejmuje: leczenie przeciwbólowe, przeciwwymiotne, stymulujące apetyt oraz modyfikację diety, a w niektórych przypadkach terapię immunosupresyjną.

Abstract
Pancreatitis may develop as acute, chronic or as an acute chronic disease. There are no age, sex and breed predispositions in cats. The potential causes of pancreatitis include infections, surgical intervention, pancreas neoplasms and the immunological background. Because of nonspecific clinical signs the diagnose is based on additional tests. As no specific treatment od chronic pancreatitis is used, the therapy is symptomatic and includes analgesia, antiemetics, appetite stimulants, dietary modifications and in some cases immunosuppressive therapy.
