Streszczenie
Nacisk na zadowolenie klienta lub właściciela pojawił się w dermatologii weterynaryjnej, w szczególności w kontekście badania jakości życia tej osoby (QoL). W medycynie weterynaryjnej QoL jest koncepcją, która została pierwotnie opracowana w celu zmierzenia niektórych aspektów niefizycznego życia zwierząt oraz w celu podjęcia decyzji o bardziej agresywnym leczeniu lub eutanazji. Pomiar QoL przewlekle chorych psów i ich właścicieli może zatem stanowić nowe narzędzie do oceny nasilenia objawów choroby, więc i skuteczności leczenia.

Abstract
An emphasis on client or owner wellbeing has emerged in veterinary dermatology, specifically, examination of that person’s quality of life (QoL). In veterinary medicine, QoL is a concept that was initially developed to measure some aspects of nonphysical animal life and to guide decisions about aggressive treatment or euthanasia. Measurement of the QoL of affected dogs and their owners could therefore provide a new tool for assessing disease severity and treatment efficacy.
