Streszczenie
Przypadek dotyczy 13-letniej kotki rasy europejskiej, u której zaobserwowano uszkodzenie rogówki, obfity kamień nazębny i towarzyszący stan zapalny dziąseł. Terapia owrzodzenia rogówki nie przyniosła spodziewanych efektów, przeprowadzono zabieg enukleacji gałki ocznej. Wykonano również sanację jamy ustnej oraz ekstrakcję zębów. Pomimo terapii rana po ekstrakcji nie ulegała zrostowi, a stan pacjenta pogarszał się. Zdecydowano o eutanazji.

Abstract
The paper describes a case of 13-year-old domestic shorthair cat that showed corneal ulceration, abundant dental tartar and accompanying gingivitis, The therapy of corneal ulcer did not bring an expected effect and ocular enucleation was performed. The cat underwent also teeth extraction and cleaning. Since despite therapy, the wound after extraction did not heal and the patient’s condition worsened, a decision of euthanasia was taken.
