Streszczenie
Anaplasma phagocytophilum jest patogenem kotów przenoszonym przez kleszcze z rodzaju Ixodes. Anaplasma zakaża i utrzymuje się w obrębie neutrofili oraz eozynofili. Objawami anaplazmozy granulocytarnej u kotów są: gorączka, bladość błon śluzowych, apatia, utrata apetytu, krwawienia z nosa, obrzęk i bolesność stawów. Rozpoznanie choroby stawiane jest na podstawie wyników badania rozmazów krwi i wykazania obecności w granulocytach moruli riketsji, a także na podstawie wyników reakcji PCR. Wyniki niniejszych badań prezentują przydatność testów serologicznych SNAP 4Dx do szybkiej diagnostyki anaplazmozy granulocytarnej kotów.

Abstract
Anaplasma phagocytophilum is a feline pathogen transmitted by Ixodid ticks. The organism infects neutrophils or eosinophils and persists within these cells. Anaplasma phagocytophilum causes febrile illness in cats, with lethargy, inappetence, pale mucous membranes, epistaxis, swollen and painful joints. Diagnosis involves finding morulae within granulocytes in the peripheral blood and detecting the DNA of A. phagocytophilum, using specific polymerase chain reaction assays (PCR). In this study we assessed the utility of the SNAP 4Dx serological tests for a rapid diagnosis of feline anaplasmosis.
