Streszczenie
Badanie ultrasonograficzne jest najistotniejszą metodą obrazową w rozpoznawaniu i monitorowaniu przebiegu ciąży. Ultrasonografia dwuwymiarowa pozostaje „złotym standardem” diagnostycznym zarówno w weterynaryjnej, jak i ludzkiej praktyce położniczej. W niniejszym artykule przedstawiono szczegółowe badanie USG ciężarnych suk i kotek. W pierwszej części opisano obrazowanie ciąży prawidłowej. Druga część artykułu została poświęcona zaburzeniom przebiegu ciąży najczęściej spotykanym w badaniu ultrasonograficznym.

Abstract
Ultrasound examination is the most important imaging method in recognizing and monitoring the course of pregnancy. Two-dimensional ultrasound remains the diagnostic „gold standard” in both veterinary and obstetric practice. The paper presents detailed ultrasound examination of pregnant bitches and queens. The ultrasonography of normal pregnancy was presented in the first part of the paper. The second part describes common pathologies found in ultrasound examination in the course of pregnancy.
