Streszczenie
Wynik badania USG zależy od wielu czynników: jakości aparatu, przygotowania pacjenta do badania, a przede wszystkim doświadczenia badającego i umiejętności optymalizacji obrazu. Badanie USG można przeprowadzać na wiele sposobów, warto jednak zachować kilka standardowych reguł i przyjąć powtarzalny schemat badania. Celem tego artykułu jest przybliżenie czytelnikowi zasad obsługi aparatury ultrasonograficznej i przeprowadzania badania USG jamy brzusznej u małych zwierząt.

Abstract
The result of an ultrasound examination depends on many factors: the quality of the device, the preparation of the patient for the examination, and above all, the examiner’s experience and the skills of image optimization. Ultrasound examination can be carried out in many ways, however it is worth keeping a few standard rules and adopting a repeatable examination scheme. The purpose of this article is to familiarize the reader with the principles of using ultrasound equipment and performing ultrasound examination of the abdominal cavity in small animals.
