Streszczenie
Tomografia komputerowa jest dynamicznie rozwijającą się dzieadziną w diagnostyce obrazowej małych zwierząt. Pozwala na szybkie ustalenie lokalizacji procesu chorobowego, jego rozległości oraz ocenę relacji topograficznych pomiędzy narządami. Badanie to wykorzystuje promieniowanie rentgenowskie, a proces powstawania obrazu związany jest ze złożonym algorytmem rekonstrukcji danych. Ze względu na charakter wiązki promieniowania możemy rozróżnić tomografię komputerową wiązki wachlarzowej oraz wiązki stożkowej.

Abstract
Computed tomography (CT) is a dynamically developing sector of small animal diagnostic imaging. It allows to localise the disease process quickly and assess how advanced it is. It also helps to assess the topographic relations among organs. The CT tool uses X rays and the process of creating the image is connected with complex algorythm and data reconstruction. Differentiating by the character of the beam, we distinguish between a fan beam and a cone beam.
