Skomplikowane zabiegi operacyjne, jak również terapeutyczno-diagnostyczne, mogą być bezboleśnie i bezpiecznie przeprowadzone dzięki zastosowaniu znieczulenia ogólnego. Głębokość znieczulenia wziewnego, w przeciwieństwie do znieczulenia infuzyjnego, można szybko i płynnie dostosować do natężenia bodźca nocyceptywnego z pola operacyjnego poprzez właściwą zmianę stężenia głównego anestetyku we wdychanym powietrzu. Współczesne badania i osiągnięcia naukowe w dziedzinie anestezjologii i intensywnej terapii czynią znieczulenie ogólne bezpieczniejszym oraz mniej obarczonym komplikacjami.

Abstract
Complicated surgeries as well as therapeutic and diagnostic procedures can be performed painlessly and safely using general anaesthesia. The inhalation anaesthesia depth, as opposed to infusion anaesthesia, can be quickly and easily adjusted to the intensity of nociceptive stimuli from the operation site, by changing the main anaesthetic agent in the inhaled air. Current research in anaesthesiology and intensive care therapy allows for safer general anaesthesia protocols.
