Psy rasy border collie stają się w Polsce coraz bardziej popularne i świetnie sprawdzają się w testach posłuszeństwa czy zawodach sportowych. W artykule przedstawiono najczęściej występujące u tej rasy psów zaburzenia neurologiczne zależnie od wieku i wymieniono możliwe pułapki diagnostyczne. W tekście opisano również ważny u psów rasy border collie problem lekowrażliwości oraz najnowsze trendy w badaniach genetycznych u tej rasy psów.

Abstract
Border Collie breed become popular in Poland due to their excellent effects as regards obedience trials and sports events. The article discusses the most common breed- and age-related neurological disorders together with possible diagnostic pitfalls. The paper considers some important issues of drug sensitivity in Border Collies and discusses current scientific trends in genetic tests designed for the breed.
