Streszczenie
Choroba Addisona (pierwotna niedoczynność kory nadnerczy) u psów jest rzadko występującą zagrażającą życiu chorobą z nieswoistymi objawami klinicznymi. Do najczęstszych należą: apatia, obniżenie lub brak apetytu, słabość mięśniowa, utrata masy ciała, wymioty i biegunka. Choroba może być błędnie rozpoznawana jako nieswoiste zapalenie jelit lub inne zaburzenie żołądkowo-jelitowe. W poniższej pracy autorka przedstawiła patogenezę, objawy kliniczne, diagnostykę oraz leczenie choroby.

Abstract
Canine Addison’s disease (primary hypoadrenocorticism) is a rare, life-threatening disease with nonspecific clinical signs. Apathy, decreased appetite or anorexia, muscle weakness, weight loss, vomiting, and diarrhea are the most frequent signs of the disease. It can be misdiagnosed as IBD or other gastrointestinal disorder. In this review article the author described pathogenesis, clinical signs, diagnosis and treatment of hypoadrenocorticism.
