Streszczenie
Zapalenia ośrodkowego układu nerwowego to często występujące jednostki chorobowe u psów, cechujące się różnorodnym przebiegiem i objawami, stąd często są one błędnie diagnozowane lub zwyczajnie ignorowane. W 80% przypadków zapalenia ośrodkowego układu nerwowego mają charakter tła immunologicznego i określane są wspólnym mianem zapalenia mózgu i opon mózgowych o nieznanej etiologii. Do tej grupy należą: ziarniniakowe zapalenie opon mózgowych, mózgu i rdzenia kręgowego, martwicze (nekrotyzujące) zapalenie mózgu i opon mózgowych, martwicze (nekrotyzujące) zapalenie istoty białej mózgu.

Abstract
The inflammatory diseases of the central nervous system in dogs are common entities, characterized by a variable course and symptoms, which often leads to misdiagnosis or witholding a diagnosing process. The inflammation of the central nervous system in canines is in 80% of immunological origin and is commonly named meningoencephalitis of unknown etiology (MUE) The group includes granulomatous meningoencephalomyelitis (GME), necrotizing meningoencephalitis (NME) and necrotizing leukoencephalitis (NLE).
