Streszczenie
Pseudomonas aeruginosa jest często izolowaną bakterią w przebiegu przewlekłego zapalenia przewodów słuchowych oraz głębokiej ropowicy skóry. W wyniku zdolności tworzenia biofilmu jest często wielooporna względem różnych grup antybiotyków. Leczenie zakażenia na tle pałeczki ropy błękitnej i zapobieganie nawrotom jest zawsze wyzwaniem dla lekarza weterynarii. Z punktu widzenia właściciela największym problemem jest zwykle koszt, jak również czasochłonność leczenia.

Abstract
Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a relatively common isolated bacteria in chronic otitis externa and deep pyoderma. The ability of the pathogen to biofilm production results in a multidrug resistance. The treatment of the Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection and the recurrence prevention is always a challenge for veterinarians, while for the owner the problem is usually expense and time-consuming treatment.
