Tematem artykułu jest zastosowanie badania cytologicznego w wyznaczaniu okresu płodnego oraz w diagnostyce wybranych chorób narządu rozrodczego suk. Omówione zostały: zmiany w obrazie cytologicznym w odniesieniu do cyklu płciowego, zasady pobierania materiału i przygotowania preparatów, a także podstawy oceny mikroskopowej wymazów z dróg rodnych.

Abstract
The paper describes the use of cytology in determining the fertile period in bitches as well as in the diagnosis of reproductive disorders. Changes in cytology in relation to the ovarian cycle, rules of material sampling and preparation, and basics of a microscopic evaluation of vaginal swabs are also discussed.
