Streszczenie
Ziarniniak z wylizywania jest przewlekłą i nawracającą chorobą psów o złożonej i nie w pełni wyjaśnionej etiopatogenezie. Mimo że nie zagraża bezpośrednio życiu zwierzęcia, bywa prawdziwym wyzwaniem dla lekarza praktyka. Nawet w przypadkach o „czysto” psychogennym podłożu skupienie się wyłącznie na eliminacji niekorzystnych uwarunkowań behawioralnych nie zapewnia sukcesu terapeutycznego. Leczenie ziarniniaka z wylizywania u psów powinno być zawsze wielokierunkowe i, co bardzo istotne, uwzględniać terapię towarzyszących chorobie powikłań bakteryjnych.

Abstract
Acral lick granuloma is chronic and recurrent disease with complex and yet unclear pathogenesis. Despite it is not life-threatening condition it often becomes a real challenge in everyday practice. Even in cases of „purely” psychogenic origin elimination of causative psychogenic component is not enough to ensure the therapeutic success. In all cases of acral lick granuloma in dogs the treatment should be complex and, what is crucial, should include elimination of secondary bacterial infections.
