Streszczenie
Alergia pokarmowa należy do grupy tzw. niepożądanych reakcji na pokarm i stanowi 1-6% wszystkich skórnych dermatoz. Ze względu na pobudzenie układu immunologicznego w przebiegu alergii pokarmowej możliwa staje się diagnostyka serologiczna, niemniej jednak pełne rozpoznanie można postawić wyłącznie na podstawie przeprowadzonej diety eliminacyjnej i prowokacyjnej. Standardem diety eliminacyjnej jest tzw. dieta domowa, niemniej jednak często w praktyce korzysta się ze zbilansowanej, komercyjnej diety hipoalergicznej, zawierającej nietypowe lub hydrolizowane źródło białka.

Abstract
Food allergy is one of the adverse food reactions responsible for 1-6% of all skin dermatoses. The stimulation of the immune system in the course of food allergy allows for serology testing as part of the diagnostic process, but a precise diagnosis can be made solely on the basis of an elimination diet and food challenge. A standard elimination diet is a home-made diet, but in practice it is the commercial balanced hypoallergenic diet containing unique or hydrolyzed protein source which is commonly used.
